 Oxidative stress is a condition that occurs when there’s an imbalance between free radicals (unstable, reactive molecules) and antioxidants (molecules that neutralize those free radicals) in your body. Free radicals are naturally produced during normal metabolism and processes like breathing, digestion, or exercise.
